Hey there, it's Christian Rogers bringing you your Brooklyn market update for March!
I’m here at our very stylish, chic loft at 365 Bridge Street, Apartment 11E—spanning over 1,600 square feet with three sleeping areas, two bathrooms, and full-service amenities, including a garage, full-time door staff, and a beautiful rooftop. It's an incredible home in a prime location!
Now, onto the market—contract activity continues to rise, with 9% more contracts signed compared to last month. We anticipate this momentum will peak around June, potentially surpassing last year’s highs. It’s shaping up to be a very active season for Brooklyn real estate.
The Brooklyn townhouse market, however, is lagging slightly, down 6% in contract activity. This may be due to significant appreciation in townhouse values over the past few years. We expect this segment to pick up by July or August, as Brooklyn townhouses historically trail the broader market by a few months. Since 2009’s market low, average townhouse values have increased by over 250%, showing strong long-term growth.
Speaking of townhouses, Amy Schumer recently listed her home on Cranberry Street for $14 million—you may recognize it as the iconic house from Moonstruck!
That’s your Brooklyn market report—I look forward to catching up with you in person soon.
Until then, sending you my best!
